Summer of 1999, Head life guard at Memorial pool, opened pool in the morning and after lunch/locked up before lunch and at night, supervised 9 other employees when supervisor was not there, along with performing all life guarding, cleaning and lesson teaching duties.

Summer of 2000, Supervisor at Kaiser pool, supervised 10 employees (1-head guard, 4-lifeguards, 4-locker room attendants, 1-cashier) at a large outdoor pool; along with normal guarding, teaching and maintenance duties. This summer gave me several different work experiences besides those at Kaiser pool. I had the opportunity to guard for a youth camping trip (for the Wausau Parks Playground program) during their swimming time on the Eau Claire River. I gave 3 seminars on pond safety to 3 different age groups of children at 4-H's 4-Safe Kids day. I was also able to work one week at the Weston Aquatic Center (a new large aquatic center with a large water slide and several other types of varied aquatic facilities and structures which provided a new and interesting guarding experience).

Fall 2000-Spring 2001, Life Guard at UND pool. Worked various types of shifts including: lap/free swim, birthtay parties, Girl Scout swimming badge, H.S. swim meet,swimming lessons; along with performing minor cleaning and maintenence duties.

Assisted instructor for a Life guarding course, conducted by Marathon County Red Cross, in the winter of 1999.
